Homemade Taco Seasoning

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Sea salt
  • 1 tbsp Smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp Cumin
  • 1 tbsp Onion powder
  • 1 tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Oregano
  • 1/2 tbsp Black pepper

Steps

  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl, stir to combine. Store for up to 6 months in a tightly sealed container. Yield: about 1/2 cup of seasoning.

Notes

Most taco seasoning packets have 2-3 tablespoons of seasoning in them. To sub this taco seasoning mix for a store bought packet, simply brown your ground meat, drain off any fat and sprinkle on 2-3 tablespoons of the homemade taco seasoning, mix to combine.
